Vegan Cashew Cream Cheese
Feeling peckish? Make your own vegan cream cheese in a matter of minutes. Dip chopped carrot or celery sticks in for a healthy snack, or spread on toast and sandwiches for a protein packed spread alternative.
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free
250g Flannerys Own certified organic raw cashews, soaked in water overnight
3 tbsp Flannerys Own savoury yeast flakes
Juice of 1 organic lemon
Flannerys Own Himalayan sea salt and cracked pepper
Handful of fresh herbs, e.g. chives, chopped
1. Drain and rinse cashews.
2. Add to food processor/blender and blitz with savoury yeast flakes, lemon juice, salt and pepper, and a small amount of water until very smooth. Use a spatula to scrape down any mix on the sides.
3. Transfer to a small dish and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
4. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
