Quinoa Beetroot Burgers

Who doesn’t love a good burger? Perfect comfort food for any night of the week.

 Ingredients

  • 1 cup beetroot, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 cup Flannerys Own Organic Quinoa Grain, cooked
  • 1 organic free range egg
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 TBS Flannerys Own Almond Meal
  • 1 TBS Flannerys Own Organic Green Pepitas
  • 1 tsp Flannerys Own Organic EV Coconut Oil, melted
  • 2 TBS lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp Flannerys Own Fine Himalayan Salt
  • 1/2 cup good quality shredded tasty cheese, optional
  • Extra Flannerys Own Organic EV Coconut Oil, for cooking

 Method

  • Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl and combine.
  • Shape the mixture into burger patties and place on plate. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Add some coconut oil to a fry pan over medium heat, add the burger patties and fry until golden.
  • Remove from the pan and allow to rest on some paper towel (this will remove any excess moisture).
  • Serve burgers on bread rolls of choice with salad. Enjoy!
