
Quinoa Beetroot Burgers
Who doesn’t love a good burger? Perfect comfort food for any night of the week.
Ingredients
- 1 cup beetroot, peeled and grated
- 1/2 cup Flannerys Own Organic Quinoa Grain, cooked
- 1 organic free range egg
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 TBS Flannerys Own Almond Meal
- 1 TBS Flannerys Own Organic Green Pepitas
- 1 tsp Flannerys Own Organic EV Coconut Oil, melted
- 2 TBS lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Flannerys Own Fine Himalayan Salt
- 1/2 cup good quality shredded tasty cheese, optional
- Extra Flannerys Own Organic EV Coconut Oil, for cooking
Method
- Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl and combine.
- Shape the mixture into burger patties and place on plate. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Add some coconut oil to a fry pan over medium heat, add the burger patties and fry until golden.
- Remove from the pan and allow to rest on some paper towel (this will remove any excess moisture).
- Serve burgers on bread rolls of choice with salad. Enjoy!
