Make the most of your early morning efforts and fuel your body with this post workout recovery smoothie.  We’ve included a number of ingredients beneficial for repair and growth of muscle tissue to supplement your training regime.

Collagen is important for the recovery of tissue, bones, tendons and ligaments utilised during a workout. In fact, collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies! It’s super important to all functions of the body so ensure you’re getting enough to supplement collagen loss which is part of the ageing process.

Oats are a great way to ensure oxygen is being transported to tissue following a strenuous workout (thanks to a high iron content), and are a great source of protein and carbohydrates for muscle strength and repair.
Hemp seeds are another great source of protein, as well as those essential fatty acids.

Blackstrap molasses is an amazing source of iron, calcium and magnesium along with other vital vitamins and minerals; a great option for sweetening your beverages whilst contributing to nutrient value.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp. CoYo Organic natural coconut yogurt
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 200ml almond milk
  • 1 tbsp. almond meal
  • 3 tbsp. oats
  • 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 1/2 tbsp. black strap molasses
  • 1 tsp. collagen powder
  • 1 tbsp. peanut butter
Method:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend and Enjoy!
