Peach Galette

This peach galette is a simple, summer dessert that’s as easy to make as it is delicious. Sweet, seasonal peaches on a flaky shortcrust pastry with a hint of fig jam & finished with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream.

This is the perfect dessert for a warm afternoon when you want something fresh, fruity & super easy!

Serves: 6  |  Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet Careme shortcrust pastry, defrosted
  • 3 tbsp fig jam
  • 5 organic peaches, sliced
  • 1 tbsp grass-fed butter, melted
  • 20g butter, melted
  • Mungalli vanilla ice cream

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190’C fan force.
  2. Roll out pastry to create a thin base, approx. 0.5cm thick.
  3. Spread a thin layer of fig jam over the pastry and top generously with sliced peaches.
  4. Fold over edges of the pastry to create a rustic tart and brush all over with melted butter.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden on top.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
