Ingredients

Filling

  • 3 cups frozen or fresh organic mixed berries
  • 3 large organic apples, peeled & diced
  • 2 TBS Flannerys Own Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 2 TBS ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 TBS vanilla extract
  • Juice of an orange

Topping

  • 1 cup Flannerys Own Organic Coconut Flour
  • 1 cup Flannerys Own Macadamias
  • 4 Flannerys Own Dates, soaked in warm water for 5 mins & drained
  • 1 cup Flannerys Own Shredded Coconut
  • 4 TBS Flannerys Own Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Method

  • Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
  • To make the filling start by melting the coconut oil in a pot. Then add all the filling ingredients. Once the fruit has started to soften, turn the heat to low, stir and simmer until the mixture has completely softened and begun to caramelise.
  • Make the topping by adding the nuts and dates to a food processor. Once crumbled, add coconut flour and oil – scrapping down the sides of the processor to ensure the mixture is well combined.
  • Lastly, mix (don’t blend) in the shredded coconut.
  • You can then put the filling into individual dishes or one big baking dish – then top with the crumble.
  • Bake for 20 mins or until browned on the top.

Serve warm of out of the oven!
