Honey Roasted Nut Mix

This honey nut mix is fantastic on natural yoghurt for breakfast. Nuts are naturally high in protein, antioxidants, fibre and good fats and help with appetite control, which is why they’re a great snack! These can also be great as a home-made gift.

Ingredients

½ cup Flannery’s Own Raw Honey

3 tsp ground cinnamon

Sprinkle of sea salt

1 cup Flannery’s Own Walnuts

1 cup Flannery’s Own Cashews

1 cup Flannery’s Own Almonds

Method

  • 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees (fan-forced). Line a tray with baking paper and set aside. In a large bowl, mix together honey, cinnamon and sea salt. Add the walnuts, cashews and almonds and stir until the nuts are covered. Pour nuts onto the baking tray on a single layer and bake for 15–20 minutes until roasted, stirring occasionally. Cool before serving.

  • 2. Tip: If you like spice, add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper with the honey, cinnamon and sea salt.
