Ingredients:
  • 500g grass-fed beef mince
  • 1 small carrot, finely diced
  • 1 small brown onion, finely diced, sautéed
  • 1 egg (plus 1 extra for brushing)
  • 2 tbsp Best of the Bone Mild BBQ Bone Broth Sauce (in the mix)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 sheets Careme all-butter puff pastry, thawed
  • Sesame seeds + sea salt flakes for topping

Dipping Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp Best of the Bone Mild BBQ Bone Broth Sauce
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey (optional for sweetness)

Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (fan-forced) & line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix beef mince, carrot, onion, parsley, 1 egg & 2 tbsp BBQ bone broth sauce. Season with salt & pepper.
  3. Cut each pastry sheet in half. Place a log of the beef mixture along the long edge of each half.
  4. Roll tightly to enclose, seam side down. Slice each log into 3–4 mini rolls.
  5. Place on tray, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sea salt flakes & sesame seeds.
  6. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until golden brown & cooked through.
  7. While baking, mix your BBQ bone broth dipping sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  8. Serve warm, dipped generously in the sauce.
