Bircher Muesli
Bircher muesli is rich in flavour from apple, coconut, cinnamon, honey and dried fruit. Being soaked in almond milk gives a delicious creamy flavour, plus adds more protein and vitamins to an already nutrient-rich breakfast! Oats contain beta glucans which are good for cholesterol plus they’re high in fibre to keep you full.
Vegan (using maple syrup), vegetarian, GMO free
Ingredients
2 cups Flannerys Own organic rolled oats |
1/2 cup Flannerys Own shredded coconut |
1/2 tsp cinnamon |
1/4 cup goji berries |
1/4 cup dried cranberries |
1/4 cup sultanas |
2 organic red apples, chopped |
2 tbsp Flannerys Own raw honey (use maple syrup for a vegan alternative) |
2 1/2 cups almond milk |
Method
1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to soak.
2. Serve with your favourite yoghurt and raw nuts.
