Celebrating National Nutrition Week

It’s National Nutrition Week from 15-21 October, and since we’re passionate about good food and good values, we thought we’d celebrate by sharing how our qualified Nutritionists can help you.

The daily mixed messages we read about nutrition can be confusing and overwhelming. How do we know what to believe or who to listen to? This is where qualified Nutritionists can help. They’ve studied the connection between food and health science; in other words, how food affects our health and wellbeing.

You may have a dietary requirement, such as gluten free, be working towards strengthening your immune system, or even in need of fast and healthy recipes. Whatever your current needs are, Nutritionists can offer advice and guidance to suit you, including:

  • Nutrition throughout life stages
  • Avoiding nutrient deficiencies
  • Tailoring nutritional needs to health conditions
  • How to achieve a balanced diet
  • Weight loss and weight gain
  • The healing powers of food
  • Recipes
  • Meal plan ideas
  • Nutrition for sports performance

The theme of National Nutrition Week is ‘Try for 5’ which encourages all Australians to increase the amount of vegetables to the recommended 5 serves per day. Speak to our in-store qualified Nutritionists and Naturopaths for their ideas and advice on ways to include more veggies in your diet.
