Paleo Almond Hummus
Gluten free too – this hummus is perfect for snacks and dips
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Flannerys Almonds – blanched or use slivered almonds
- 2 TBS Flannerys Organic Tahini
- 4 TBS Flannerys Organic EV Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup filtered water
- Juice of a lemon
- 1 garlic glove
- 1 tsp Flannerys Himalayan Salt
- a pinch of pepper
Method
- Pre-blanch the almonds by soaking them in a bowl of boiling water. Drain after a couple of minutes and start to remove the skins by slightly squeezing the nut closer to the round end – it should pop off!
- Otherwise use pre-blanched or slivered almonds
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and process until smooth
- Store in the fridge and add a drizzle of olive oil over top to keep from drying out
- Serve with fresh herbs, a little extra olive oil and cracked pepper
