Almond Meal Pizza Bases
There is something special about tucking into a delicious piece of pizza. But with all the additives that can be found in traditional takeaway pizza – it can be a little off putting! We have been experimenting with some of our favourite ingredients to bring you our almond meal pizza base. It’s quick, easy and a great option for dinner this week.
Ingredients
- 1 garlic glove, minced
- 1 TBS dried oregano
- 3 TBS Flannerys Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 organic eggs
- 2 cups Flannerys Almond Meal
- 1/4 tsp Flannerys Baking Powder
- Extra Flannerys Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil for baking
- Flannerys Himalayan Salt and freshly ground black pepper to season
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl until a dough is formed.
- Roll dough in pizza bases.
- Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and bake for 15 – 20 minutes or until almost golden.
- Remove pizza bases add toppings of choice and return to oven for a further 10 minutes.
Topping
- We’ve topped our pizza with organic passata, roasted eggplant, organic labna and a generous handful of rocket. However if you are looking for a vegan or vegetarian option you could always use cashew cheese instead of the labna – bellissimo!
